Frequently Asked Questions
As this is a new scholarship program, we'll be doing a lot of learning alongside all of you, so this FAQ will be updated as we go, but here are some questions/answers we hope will help get us all started.
Who will be judging the applications?
Applications will be reviewed and judged using a ranking system by a set of 3 judges from different parts of the industry - an individual from a training position, an individual from a competitor position, and an individual from an equine wellness position.
How will the funds be distributed?
All scholarship funds will be paid directly to the appropriate show organizer or entry platform until funds are depleted.
If for some reason I (or my child) can't compete in the year we receive the funds, what happens?
Funds must be used in the awarded year. Unused funds will be returned to the scholarship fund. The applicant will need to re-apply.
Can unused funds rollover to the next year?
No, all funds must be used in the year that they were awarded. Any unused awards will be returned to the scholarship fund.
